Limited Domestic/Connecting Flights to Hualien Airport (HUN):
The Hualien Airport (HUN) only provides services for domestic flights. Connection flights to Hualien Airport (HUN) are only available at Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA), Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH), and Taichung International Airport (RMQ). There is no connecting flight to Hualien at the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), where most international flights arrive. Only a few cities from Japan, Korea, and China have flights to TSA, KHH and RMQ. Please make sure to check and book early since these flights are limited. From the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE): A shuttle van service with negotiated fares for IEEE CTW 2023 participants can be reserved here (https://forms.gle/qnAChaTHyd4mQwnu9). The van service will leave from the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to the Parkview Hotel & Resort in Hualien at 7am, 10am, 1:30pm, and 4:30pm (subject to adjustments according to needs) on July 1 (Sat.) and July 2 (Sun.). The fare is TWD 900 (exchange rate here) one way per person. Reservations must be made via the following link. (https://forms.gle/qnAChaTHyd4mQwnu9) BEFORE June 10, 2023. No refunds will be provided.

From the venue of ISIT 2023: For attendees of ISIT 2023, a transportation bus will be provided at the cost of TWD 300 at 1:00 pm on July 1, 2023. Seats are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, please email info@isit2023.org with the subject line Bus to CTW. A credit card link will be mailed back for payment. Please specify the name of the bus taker in the email and use your ISIT name badge as a ticket to get on the bus. Please note that online bus registration is available up to June 18, 2023. After this date you will need to register at the on-site registration desks at the convention venue. Train:
- If you arrive at the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), you may take the Taoyuan Airport MRT to the Taipei Main Station for the train to Hualien. The MRT schedule is here.

Taxi:
The taxi fare is by meter, with the price around US$200 from the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to the venue and around US$250 from Taipei City to the venue.

There are multiple car rental companies you can choose from at the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Please check the airport website for more information.
How to go to Taroko National Park by yourself (without car rental):

Taiwan Tourist Shuttle service (Number 310):
The best way to go to Taroko National Park (without car rental) is to take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle service (Number 310). From the IEEE CTW hotel, you can take a taxi to Hualien Railway Station or Xincheng Railway Station (closer to Taroko), then transfer to the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle to arrive.
